Confidentiality Privacy Policy
The law protects the relationship between a patient and a psychotherapist, and information cannot be disclosed without written permission. Dr. Rogers strictly adheres and enforces this legal protection.
Exceptions include:
- Suspected child abuse or dependant adult or elder abuse, for which she is required by law to report this to the appropriate authorities immediately.
- If a patient is threatening serious bodily harm to another person(s), she must notify the police and inform the intended victim.
- If a patient intends to harm himself or herself, she will make every effort to enlist the patient's cooperation in insuring his or her safety. If the patient does not cooperate, Dr. Rogers will take further measures provided to her by law in order to ensure the patient's safety.
